 | | | | | ROAD TO BALI : Players Joining the Race Towards Glory in Bali Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions from 4 -7 November 2010 At The Westin Resort, Nusa Dua Bali | The second annual Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions is scheduled for November 4 to 7, 2010 at the Bali International Convention Centre. The tournament themed Road to Bali brings a season-long link and race, tying together the 32 International series championships throughout the year.
Offering a prize of US$ 600,000 the tournament will feature an exciting new format as the climax of the 2010 season. Instead of the round-robin format used during the 2009 event, players will now have just one opportunity to advance to the semi-finals in an all-or-nothing knockout.
Only the top eight players who have captured at least one International Series tournament during the year and who are not participating in singles at the year-end Sony Ericsson Championships - Doha 2010 will qualify for the event. The tournament may have an option to award players wildcards into the tournament.
Play will take place with two matches a day. The first two days will see the eight players reduced to four for Saturday’s semi-finals, and Sunday will feature not only the final but a play-off for third and fourth place.
